Pottery Classes in Silver City, NM!

Class Package (recommended): With a class package we will meet for 4, 2 hour sessions plus we will meet within a few weeks of class completion to glaze work, which should take under 1 hr. This is a great way to learn the basics. From starting with wet clay, trimming, and glazing, you get to do it all! We can work towards your personal wheel throwing or hand building goals, whether you would like to improve your existing skills or learn something totally new. Fees include all tools and materials, and include the firing of up to 6 finished pieces, to be picked up within 2-4 weeks after class completion. The class package is currently offered on Thursday’s at 5:30 pm beginning 9/5 and Friday’s at 10:00 am beginning 9/6.
Total cost: $270 for 1 person, or $380 for 2.

Single Session: This class lets you try out clay commitment-free. Perfect for total beginners or to an intermediate potter wanting to improve specific skills or learn a new technique. In this class we will work with wet clay and choose either wheel throwing or hand building technique. Fees include all materials, finishing, glazing, and firing of 1 piece, to be picked up 4-6 weeks after class completion. Shipping of the final piece is also available for $10 extra per piece. Total Cost 3 hr session: $140 1 person, $175 for 2

Coming soon!- Hand build a mug or platter: In this class I will walk you through the making and decorating of a mug or platter. This is a super fun class for a small group (up to 3 people!) and while we learn something new, there is plenty of time to socialize. You can choose from different decorating techniques to make something personal and unique to you! All materials are included, and feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Your final project will be ready for pick-up in 4-6 weeks or can be shipped at the cost of $10 extra per piece.
